Houma, La. – CORTEC has added a new model to its Extreme Service Choke line, the CXC. The CXC features a 2″ Max Orifice flanged body rated up to 15,000 PSI service. The choke, controlled by a hydraulic piston operator, additionally features dual sided tungsten carbide trim as well as a downstream carbide wear sleeve installed inside the outlet flange.

By utilizing an integral API flanged body, CORTEC is able to significantly reduce manufacturing time and costs associated with producing the traditional CX-3 and CXE-II Extreme Service Chokes. These savings allow CORTEC to offer a choke capable of sufficiently handling the abuse of most service related applications while delivering a more economical sale price to CORTEC customers.
