Cortec Manifold Systems Delivers Valves for Chevron Jack & St. Malo

LAFAYETTE, La. – CORTEC Manifold Systems (CMS) has recently delivered over 600 valve assemblies for Chevron’s Jack & St. Malo Platform in the Gulf of Mexico. These valves will be used in multiple skids throughout the platform, mainly the Chemical Injection Skid and the Hydraulic Power Unit.

These valves were specifically engineered to meet the demands of the project. Manufactured entirely from Stainless Steel and for 15,000psi service, these valves provide a unique solution that will enable long life with superior performance. CORTEC’s scope of supply included Compact Ball Valves (Actuated, Gear & Wrench-head Operated) & Check Valves.

Jack & St. Malo is one of Chevron’s latest major deep-water capital projects intended for long life and enhanced recovery through technology. The project, composed of three subsea centers tied back to a production facility, is located approximately 280 miles (450km) south of New Orleans, La in water depths of 7,000ft (2,100m) and will have a capacity of 170,000 barrels of oil per day.
