Inside Sales/Project Manager

We are currently seeking an Inside Sales/Project Manager for our facility in Port Allen, LA.

Job Summary

The Inside Sales Representatives primary responsibility is to convert pre-qualified or new leads into new business. After successfully securing new business from customers, Inside Sales Representatives will be responsible for entering new orders into CORTEC’s order management system. The Inside Sales Representative shall ensure customer requirements are upheld throughout the inquiry and manufacturing processes, while providing a great customer experience.

Functional Responsibilities

  • Develop an exceptional understanding of CORTECs product portfolio and manufacturing capabilities.
  • Assist in vetting leads based on CORTECs core competency to ensure we allocate resources to leads we have a probability of winning and avoid leads we know we will not win.
  • Develop an understanding of customer requirements in our industry. Solicit guidance from other CORTEC departments or 3rd party experts on subjects that are not understood.
  • Develop an understanding of commercial terms and conditions commonly used in our industry. Solicit guidance from upper management or 3rd party experts on subjects that are not understood.
  • Work with other CORTEC departments or 3rd party experts to integrate customer requirements and industry standards into bills of material for quotations and orders.
  • When appropriate, offer alternative solutions that may reduce cost or improve performance to better our competitive position and build trust with our customers.
  • Generate bid packages based on CORTEC standards in a way that portrays brand image, organization and attention to detail.
  • Enter sales orders, according to CORTEC standards, that summarize all commercial and technical requirements of the customer.
  • Manage multiple projects at any given time.
  • Develop an understanding of industry trends to assist CORTEC in forecasting stock inventory levels.
  • Communicate over the phone, through email or in person in a way that is courteous, conscientious and instills confidence in CORTEC

Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Oil & Gas sales experience preferred.

Specialized knowledge, critical skills and competencies

A general understanding of the Oil & Gas industry and common industry practices/applications. Basic sales and communication skills along with an ability to effectively and professionally communicate with a diverse global customer base. Strong computer and organizational skills.
