Our robust designs are manufactured with superior performance and field serviceability in mind. Whether you are configuring a deep water MPD system, protecting mud pumps, or relieving frac systems, CORTEC’s CX-RV pressure relief choke models are designed and proven to provide the highest level of reliability in the industry. Hydraulic and pneumatic control packages are configurable to suit customer and project specifications. Available with a range of options for orifice sizes, end connections, and control methods, CORTEC is sure to have a CX-RV pressure relief choke model to suit your application needs.
CORTEC MODEL CX-RV 2.6
2.6” Maximum Orifice
Up to 10,000 PSI
The CX-RV 2.6 is available as a pneumatic or hydraulic model. This design is the most economical of our pressure relief valve line and provides an ideal solution for mud pump protection.
CORTEC MODEL CX-RV 3.0
3” Maximum Orifice
Up to 15,000 PSI
The CX-RV 3.0 features a studded block body and is available with a range of hydraulic panel options. This design offers additional pressure relief capacity over the CX-RV 2.6 and a robust design for harsh service conditions. Optional gantry system and service tools for field friendly maintenance.
CORTEC MODEL CX-RV 4.0
4” Maximum Orifice
Up to 5,000 PSI
The CX-RV 4.0 pressure relief choke features a studded block body, is available as a hydraulic model, and comes with a larger orifice for extreme high flow rate applications such as offshore managed pressure drilling systems. Optional gantry system and service tools for field friendly maintenance.
OVERVIEW
The CX-RV2.6 pneumatic pressure relief choke is available with an integrated control system requiring only pneumatic air supply to function. This solution greatly exceeds the reliability, repeatability, and longevity of many conventional manually operated pressure relief valve designs to offer substantial value and performance benefits over the life cycle of equipment. This system is rated up to 10,000 PSI and features a choke orifice size of 2.6”.
CORTEC’s custom engineered instrumentation solution (patent pending) provides a precise trip setting repeatability within 1% of full range. System relief cycles occur within 250 milliseconds of measured pressure events. Instrument adjustments provide field friendly capability to modify the desired trip setting within the following ranges:
- 1,000-3,000 PSI
- 2,000-5,000 PSI
- 5,000-10,000 PSI
