CORTEC recently installed a new MPD manifold system operating in the Gulf of Mexico. This system was a turnkey project in which CORTEC supported the customer from the initial design until completed installation, which required integration into existing rig pipework.

The MPD system includes the choke, meter, distribution, junk catcher and buffer manifold piping segments. Some highlighted features of the system include:
- All electric actuation
- 7-1/16” Bore design rated for 3000 PSI
- CORTEC models CX-3.0 and CX-6.0 chokes
- CORTEC model XC-RV2.6 choke relief valves
- 7-1/16” Trunnion-style bi-directional metal seated sealing ball valves with Inconel 625 cladded seal areas
