Quality Control Inspector

We are currently seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector for our facility in Houma, LA. All work is performed in a clean & climate controlled shop with high quality QC tools.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Perform dimensional inspection of new and pre-exiting components using tools such as calipers, mics, gauges, etc.
  • Perform a full receiving inspection of all components being received from 3rd party suppliers.
  • Perform coating inspections for paint and other thin film coatings.
  • Conduct a final inspection of all products prior to shipping.
  • Perform PMI (Positive Material Identification) when required.
  • Perform & verification of hardness testing and marking of components being manufactured
  • Verification that NDE, PMI, Hardness and marking were completed on travelers.
  • Work with engineering to obtain measurements for parts in design for Research & Development.
  • Making and tagging valves with appropriate identification tags.
  • Assist with scheduling and supervising all NDE (NDE performed by various 3rd party qualified vendors).
  • Assist in the development of purchase orders associated with NDE process and calibration services. Assure the purchase orders are received when complete.
  • Assist in performing & maintaining current calibration of all QC tools.
  • Assist in approval of assembly legends and test reports for valves in production.

Specialized Knowledge and Competencies:

  • 2 years of previous Quality Control experience in the Oil & Gas Industry
  • Knowledge of machine shop measuring tools
  • Must be able to operate a forklift and overhead cranes
