Right now, we have service personnel on board a drillship in Las Palmas, finalizing the installation of a CORTEC Managed Pressure Drilling package. This package, purchased back in May 2023, landed in February 2024. It’s thrilling to see this project take shape, marking the fourth successful outfitting with this client since 2019!
This vessel must be prepped and ready for an impressive 180-day contract, which aims to kick off in the first quarter of 2025. We’ve made significant progress on the installation and are excited to complete the project, which is targeted to wrap up this month in November. Once done, the drillship will make its way to the Gulf of Mexico in January 2025. At that time, CORTEC will be back on board to oversee the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and the Site Integration Test (SIT) before it’s ready for service!
