Port Allen, La. – CORTEC delivered 7-1/16 inch 10K ball valves for Shell’s Ursa/Princess project.  Included within the scope of supply were the valves and surrounding flowline equipment for the boarding shutdown valve assembly.  The 7-1/16 inch 10K boarding shutdown valves were certified to API 6AV1 standards and manufactured with Inconel 625 cladded seal areas and 17-4PHSS Tungsten Carbide coated balls and seats.  These valves are the first ball valves to be used as a boarding shutdown valve by Shell.
